There is a rustic little Restaurant and Shop situated in the unspoilt, undeveloped little village of Nature’s Valley which is uniquely situated at the bottom of the Groot Rivier Pass (R102 off N2 Crags) in the heart of the Tsitsikamma National Park. An area regarded by many as the best part of the Garden Route. Bordered by enchanting indigenous forest, tranquil lagoons, towering mountains and kilometres of pristine, Nature’s Valley is a true paradise for the nature lover... A place where you could find bush pigs foraging in the gardens and buck grazing alongside the road at night. Or see the famous Cape Clawless Otter in the moonlight and baboons in the early morning mist. Or dolphins and whales frolicking in the ocean or stars so bright at night that you feel you can touch them.
And then of course it’s also the END of the famous OTTER TRAIL.
Whether a long days drive touring or after a long exhilarating trail you look down on to Nature’s Valley and know there is a place to rest your weary bones, savour an ice cold beer or drink and have a tasty meal. Spurred on by these thoughts you trudge or drive the last two-kilometre stretch to THE OASIS WHERE YOUR DREAMS ARE ABOUT TO COME TRUE!
The rustic Nature’s Valley Restaurant serves wholesome and delicious but unfussy meals to suit all tastes. From light toasted sandwiches to gourmet hamburgers. Also wide ranges of seafood, steaks, spare ribs or chicken dishes. Or simply enjoy an ice-cold beer, wine or cocktails on the sundeck.
