The Crags is such a “happening” place, a destination with a difference! We are bang in the middle of the Garden Route embraced by the popular coastal town of Plettenberg Bay and the quaint village of Nature’s Valley. Too many activities to count on one hand and a HOST of accommodation establishments packed into a 30km radius!

Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Jukani, Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary, Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre, The Elephant Sanctuary, Hog Hollow Horse Trails, Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve, the Big Three (whales, dolphins, seals) and the delightful canoeing trips up the Bitou & Keurbooms River. All the shopping you can do at Langa Lapu, Siya Phambili – a local community initiative – Zandla Zam and the Mill Mohair & Décor Centre and of course Old Nick Village with their amazing variety of linens, art, crafts, clothing, furniture – you get the idea.

We even have our own Puzzle Park– give your mind a work-out at their mind twisting, conundrum posing place!!

Need a breakaway? Give your office a break at Ingwe Forest Adventures … teambuilding paradise. And they have kids’ & school team building programmes too and they arrange super functions. If that wasn’t enough and you REALLY need a bit of adrenalin-pumping excitement against a stunning indigenous backdrop – Africanyon is your answer. Truly!

Now for wining and dining: Well, where to start: The Crags is the hub of the Plett Winelands. It started here, it’s growing here and at the moment has seven operational vineyards – with more ripening!!!

Our pioneers in wine growing at Bramon Wine Estate where delicious tappas lunches are served with their award winning bubbly and wines in the vineyards overlooking the Elephant Sanctuary; special functions & lunches at Newstead Family Vineyard – a very chic place to hang out!. Light and tasty treats at Redford Lane Wines pared with their delicious wines, and a host of opportunities to book a personal wine tasting at Lodestone Wines & Olives, Kay & Monty Vineyards and Anderson Wines – more delicious wines to sample!! And it’s growing yet!

If it’s the sea you desire to admire while eating, you can’t get closer than Enrico’s Restaurant – and the food is super good, not to mention the ambience! And for a traditional South African pub-style grub (and essential sporting occasions) try Berlin Pub. And don’t forget Roost down at Old Nick Village with their tasty tempting treats!

A very special shop - Nature’s Way Farm Stall - a must stop for the best cheeses and farm produce (great for picnics), you know that crush in December in Plett, well The Farmstall has EVERYTHING! Oh and they do lunches too. And, if you phone in advance, you can go and watch the cows being milked, a lovely family outing.

So from the hustle and bustle of Plettenberg Bay, to the delights of The Crags, leave yourself time to enjoy the delights of Keurbooms Beach or wander down the R102 to another of the natural wonders of the world – Nature’s Valley and its glorious walks and beaches.

In the evening, when good food and a good night’s rest beckons, choose from out-of-this world five star hotels, fabulous four star lodges & comfy country houses, beautiful B&B’s, quirky self catering cottages & homes and a backpackers with a difference.
